ABOUT EMBRACE
Our Comprehensive Support for CALD Youth and Families
At EMBRACE, we are dedicated to providing culturally appropriate and holistic support to young migrants and refugees from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds and their families. We understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with navigating a new culture and building a life in Australia. To address these needs effectively, we offer a range of interconnected services delivered in partnership with trusted community providers:
How We Empower and Support Our Community:
-
We facilitate access to culturally sensitive academic support tailored to the individual needs of young migrants and refugees. This includes engaging engagement programs, supportive mentoring programs, and skill-building workshops offered both within school settings and in the wider community. Our goal is to help young people thrive academically and achieve their full potential.
-
Recognizing the impact of migration experiences, we connect CALD clients with culturally appropriate targeted mental health programs and counselling services. These services are designed to address specific issues such as migration-related traumas, depression, anxiety disorders, and other mental health concerns in a safe and understanding environment.
-
We offer tailored programs, workshops, and resources for migrant and refugee parents and community members. These initiatives focus on fostering a deeper understanding of the experiences of migrant youth, providing guidance on navigating the Australian education system, and empowering parents to create a supportive and nurturing home environment.
